This lecture will present the work of artist Kathleen Speranza. Kathleen will discuss her recent body of work and inspiration. She is best known for her oil paintings and drawings of botanical subjects.The talk will include art historical context for the subject and its current relevance.

Fix-It-FirstWhen: Saturday, October 5, 1:00 - 4:00 PM Cost: Suggested donation $10
Have an inoperable lamp? Volunteers will be on hand at the AIC to help fix lamps at the first ever ‘Fix-It First’ event – which is open to everyone for a modest donation. Keep your eye on the calendar to learn about this and future Fix-It First events that might include repairing your toaster, your bike, or even your hair dryer. The event is free, but if you would like to make a donation to help support future programs, we suggest $10.

Laser Cutter Training & Certification When: Saturday, October 19, 1:00 - 3:00 PM Cost: $20
Certification is required to use the laser cutter without immediate supervision of a qualified staff member. You may obtain certification by attending one of our monthly training classes and demonstrating that you can use the machine safely and responsibly.

Come in and use the equipment for which you've been certified. Equipment is available on a reservation basis. You may also use our workspaces for your own projects, or get advice on planned projects.
