Yes - that's right, the Summer Concert Series will soon be underway. This year's season will kick off on Wednesday, June 12 at the Weston Town Green. Our friends at Wally's Wicked Good Ice Cream will be serving free helpings from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, while the band Sixties Invasion will play tributes to Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison and others starting at 7.
The series will continue every Wednesday at 7 PM on the Town Green through July 17. The entire schedule can be seen below: - June 12 - Ice Cream Social featuring Sixties Invasion
- June 19 - The Ivory Rockers, featuring a Rock-N-Roll sing along show with dueling pianos.
- June 26 - The Squeezebox Stompers, playing Cajun, Zydeco, Blues and Americana music.
- July 3 - Rico Barr and the Jumpin' Jive Review, with their All-American Jazz, Blues and Swing show, and featuring a tribute to Frank Sinatra and friends.
- July 10 - Weston's own Playn Janes, playing Pop standards and Classic Rock songs that everybody knows.
- July 17 - The Wolverine Jazz Band will close out this season with classics made famous by Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, George Gershwin and others.
The Summer Concert Series is sponsored by Cambridge Trust, and organized through the Weston Recreation Department.
