Outdoor Ice Skating Conditions
Recent fluctuations in temperatures have deteriorated skating conditions at both Malone Field and College Pond. The surface at both areas is very rough so the Recreation Department is declaring that it is not safe to skate at either location. We will continue to monitor both locations and post updates as they become available.
Future conditions will be posted to www.weston.org/Recreation or to

Locations
This year, the outdoor ice rinks have been moved from the Case Campus to Malone Field at the end of Drabbington Way. This was done to support the ongoing efforts to revitalize the turf at the Field School field. Malone Field, at the base of Cat Rock, was once the premier field for Weston Youth Baseball. It features ample parking and has a history of hosting skiing on the nearby hill.
Warming Hut
After December 26th, the Warming Hut at College Pond will open during vacation weeks and weekends when skating conditions are favorable.
Indoor Skating During School Vacation Week
Weston Rec will be hosting family skating on Thursday, December 29th at the Rivers School rink. Free Skate is from noon to 12:55 p.m.; sticks and pucks are permitted from 1:00 to 1:55 p.m. The cost is $5 per person, $25 per family.
