...like literal and figurative big things.

Go big or go home, right? We might not be a huge library, but we have big art (so big that it doesn't fit inside), big news (at least we think so), big birds (not that big bird), big names (both long and famous), and big fun (well duh).  Read on to find out more.

Big art: Joe Ferguson reception and artist talk

Saturday, October 1, 2 PM

Please join us for a reception honoring Weston artist, Joe Ferguson. Rain or shine at the Weston Art and Innovation Center (the old library for those of us that have been around a while) on Saturday, October 1 at 2 PM. Joe’s sculpture Counterpoint, was recently installed at the AIC, enlivening both its front lawn and adding to the newly renovated Weston Town Center. Joe will give a short talk about his career as an artist and will show a selection of pieces that exemplify the depth and breadth of his work. This event is free and open to the public. Sunday Concert Series is LIVE and in Person with Express Lane Barbershop Quartet Oct 1, 2022 @ 2pm

Big news: live, in-person Sunday concerts are back!

Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 3 PM

The Library Music Committee is excited to present the first performance in our 2022-23 season: Express Lane, a barbershop quartet based in the Boston area and a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS). This will be our first IN PERSON concert since the spring of 2020, and we hope you’ll join us in the Library’s Community Room.

Express Lane sings old and new songs in traditional barbershop style. They formed as a new quartet in mid-2015, but their smoothly blended sound reflects a total of more than 50 years of experience singing barbershop harmony. Together, they have a sound and style that is Expressly their own. Among audience favorites are songs like “After You’ve Gone,” “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love,” and “I’m Gonna Live Till I Die.”

The concert is free and open to the public, and the Community Room is handicapped
accessible. Covid precautions will be observed: masks are encouraged, and there will
be space between singers or wind players and the audience. For more information, please visit our calendar event.
