You know that thing you do that makes you happy?

Well, it makes us happy too. You might be really into cycling, medieval history, or heck, you might love knitting sweaters for your Xoloitzcuintli, Harry. We think that's cool, and we want to make sure we have what you need to feed your passion, especially if it means that Harry stays toasty. Find out how you can get exactly what you want, for free, at the Weston Public Library.

We spend many hours each week pouring over reviews, scouring "new release" lists, and evaluating our collection to ensure we get the books, movies, and other materials that our patrons want most. All that said, sometimes a great book slips through the cracks. Other times, something becomes a trend overnight and we have to play catch up (remember when "The Queen's Gambit" made everyone want to learn chess?). Please give us a nudge by suggesting a purchase.

we love playing super sleuth
Librarians live for tracking down materials. The thrill of the chase gives us our adrenaline fix...yeah, it really doesn't take much. If you can't find what you're looking for in our library, there is a pretty good chance that we can still track whatever it is down. Just call the Reference Desk at 781-786-6165 and we can have your hard-to-find item on its way in a jiffy. If you want to feel some of the thrill we get every day, you can request items from other libraries yourself within the Minuteman Library Network or across the whole Commonwealth. Warning: having this much power can be addictive.
programming ideas are always welcome
Westonians are curious folks. They like to learn new skills and dive into a subject. They love to study history and the current events that will soon become history. We think we do a pretty good job selecting programs and events that stoke that curiosity, but some of the best ideas come from YOU. If you are thinking, "Gee, I wish the library offered a program on _____," someone else is probably thinking the same thing. Please let us know by emailing wsnmail2@minlib.net. If it is a romance book club you want, just email the Assistant Director at apalmgren@minlib.net...not that she is itching to lead a romance book club and is selfishly trying to justify forming one. No, nothing like that.
