Postage Stamps and Medicine with the Spellman Museum

Get a little taste of the Spellman Museum at the library! Visit the Weston Public Library art gallery (bang a left as soon as you enter the front doors) to discover how postage stamps and medicine are related. This exhibit will be in place throughout the summer.

This collaboration celebrates the July reopening of our favorite local stamp museum. If you want to learn more about postal history and stamps, library patrons can get free admission to the Spellman Museum with a library museum pass. Request a pass to this museum and many others online.

For more information about the Spellman Museum and hours of operation, visit their website at http://www.spellmanmuseum.org/.

Chalk-a-Palooza: A Community Sidewalk Art Project

Our neighbors at the Council on Aging had a fantastic idea to brighten up our days after such a gloomy stretch of weather: Chalk-A-Palooza! Come solo, bring a friend, or round up the family on July 20th to help decorate the COA sidewalk in a community art project!

You will be provided chalk and a square of pavement along the Community Center’s sidewalk outside the COA to create your own piece of sidewalk art. Collectively, these artworks will create a beautiful entrance to welcome and inspire those who visit. Even the library will put our most artistic staff member to work on making something beautiful for all to see.

All ages - individuals, and families welcome! Contact the COA for more details and to register at 781-786-6280.

Registering for events is easy-peasy.

We've made it even easier to sign up for programs online. Sure, we'll be happy to take sign-ups in person and over the phone, but we want to give you an option that you can do while on a Zoom call, at midnight, or if you are having an I-just-can't-speak-to-one-more-person moment.

Simply head to our homepage to see a list of upcoming programs or directly to our online calendar. If registration is required, you'll find a link that says "register." Folks that sign up online will get an email reminder before the event and be able to change their reservation at any time.
