The COA is Here to Help!

Yep... It's December already and we're here to help you through the winter months (and always!) The COA is your resource and is always here to help where we can. Our staff includes social workers who have extensive information on a variety of topics and can research solutions for challenges you may have.

We can:
  • Connect you with Medicare information through local trained counselors;
  • Deliver your shopping to you if you need to social distance;
  • Assist with applications for help with heating costs;
  • Loan durable medical equipment to you or loved ones in need;
  • Provide free rides to medical appointments in Boston and free rides on the Weston shuttle to surrounding areas for any purpose;
  • Explore your housing options or home modifications to make life easier;
  •  Provide food from the food pantry at the Community Center. Our food pantry is open to all Weston residents of any age — no questions asked, no application process.
To learn more about our services and how we can help you, call the COA at 781-786-6280.

Azores

Wednesday, December 9, 1:00-2:00 on Zoom

This visual tour will offer an introduction to a lush tropical paradise which, if it isn't already on your bucket list, definitely deserves a spot. We'll "visit" Sete Cidades Lake - the most popular postcard view of the Azores - with its blue/green water and also see hot springs, tropical gardens, quaint villages and the ubiquitous hydrangeas. Our tour guide, Marilyn Harris, worked in education for over 40 years and in her retirement has continued to teach classes on history and travel.
