Kicking off May with a salute to mom & a new book group

It's officially the first full week of May! We're kicking off this lovely month by announcing a new virtual book group for adults, a few reading suggestions from staff, and by featuring books you can borrow from the comfort of home that showcase how much mom means to us!

WPL Virtual Book Group: Writers and Lovers by Lily King

We have been missing our book groups so much! If you also miss connecting with other readers or if you want to join in for the first time in a no-pressure, come-as-you-are book discussion group, Virtual Book Group is for you! We have picked a short book with a lot of local interest, Writers and Lovers by Lily King. The book is available on Hoopla Digital at https://www.hoopladigital.com/title/12838962 and using the Hoopla App.

After reading the book, join us for a virtual book discussion using Zoom on May 20th, at 7 PM. Simply email wsnmail2@minlib.net to register (just so we know where to send the Zoom meeting link).

Mother's Day is coming and we want to celebrate moms, mother-figures, mother's-in-law, and the other special people that helped raise and support you.
