September Artist

The Weston Public Library Art Gallery's September artist is Laurie Leavitt. Laurie is a fine artist and Holliston resident who has worked in a variety of media through the years, including oil and watercolor painting, mixed media, and printmaking. Drawing inspiration from nature, she has produced a body of work that through a simplification of form, color and light represents a moment in time and place. In addition, Laurie is a licensed art teacher holding a Master's in Education with a concentration in art. She has taught art and exhibited extensively in the Boston area and her artwork is held in private and corporate collections. She also accepts work on commission. Her work can be viewed at
