Who Are We & What We Do?Done Editing
The Friends of Weston’s Council on Aging is a 509(a)(3) charitable supporting organization, that provides financial support for the programs and services offered by the Council on Aging, not fully covered by the Town Budget. We also provide emergency financial assistance to qualified Weston residents in need, aged 60+. Our all-volunteer organization raises funds through the generous donations of Town residents and local businesses. All funds are used to enhance and support the lives of the growing population of Weston seniors.
Some of the programs and services we help to support are:
- Transportation services via the Weston shuttle and subsidized taxi program
- The food pantry
- The durable medical equipment loan closet
- Educational, health & fitness programs
- Social events & day trips
- Postage for mailing the monthly COA newsletter to residents aged 60
