We offer a variety of fitness classes Monday through Friday in person and on Zoom for $5 per class. Contact the COA at 781-786-6280 to receive login information for the Zoom classes you are interested in. There is no commitment, you can attend as many or as few classes as you like of any of the classes. 

Exercise For Every Body with Ellen Cohen-Kaplan
Mondays, 9:00-10:00am on Zoom
This class provides cardio, stretching & strengthening in a non-threatening environment. Participants work on cardiopulmonary fitness, balance, improve joint range of motion and learn proper form for strength training of both upper and lower body. Exercises are done standing, but can be done in a chair. Appropriate for all fitness levels.

Zumba with Ellen Cohen-Kaplan
Mondays, 10:15-11:15am on Zoom
If you like to dance, you’ll love this class! In this high energy class you will learn dance moves to Latin and world music songs, while the instructor leads and breaks the moves down into smaller steps. Ability to step forward, backward and to each side is useful in this class, but all levels are welcome. Participants will improve their capacity in cardio, endurance and coordination by learning and repeating dance moves to the beat of the rhythm.

Yoga with Sandy Honeyman 
Mondays, 1:00-2:00pm & Thursdays, 9:30-10:30am on Zoom
This “slow flow” class is appropriate for anyone who can comfortably get up and down from a yoga mat. No previous yoga experience is required and everyone is encouraged to move at his or her own pace. Yoga poses, known as asanas, can increase strength, improve mobility and enhance balance. This class offers the opportunity to connect to the breath and cultivate inner focus and calm. Suggested equipment: yoga mat, 2 yoga blocks, yoga strap, sturdy chair.

T’ai Chi with Jon Woodward
Tuesdays, 9:30-10:30am at the Community Center
This class is for those with some experience with T’ai Chi. As we practice and refine the form, we also explore deeper concepts and philosophies of T'ai Chi.

Fitness with Michelle with Michelle Nickerson
Tuesdays, 10:30-11:30am at the Community Center
Each class encompasses cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and balance. This class is geared towards all levels; each participant can focus the intensity of their workout to their own fitness level. Join us for a fun, active and social fitness class.

Free, informal meditation group.

Functional Fitness with Kathy Langenberg
Wednesdays, 10:30-11:30am at the Community Center *new time
This class focuses on exercises and movements that tone muscles and improve the ability to perform everyday activities. The main emphasis is on core strengthening to improve balance, posture, coordination, stability, range of motion and flexibility. There is a combination of chair and standing exercises, which helps focus on different muscle groups, minimizing the possibility of repetitive movement injuries. Open to all fitness levels. Suggested equipment: light hand weights and dynabands.

T'ai Chi for Better Balance with Jon Woodward
Wednesdays, 1:00-2:00pm at the Community Center
This class takes the most beneficial practices from T'ai Chi and other related arts, to improve balance, reduce stress and fear, and improve vitality. We will discover elements of rooting, pulsing, centering, and flow, to increase energy levels and overall well-being. With practice, we can restore natural posture, breathing, and life force to become stronger and to gain improved vigor. In this class, we will combine elements of the T’ai Chi for Better Balance program and the Traditional T'ai Chi form to help explore core elements of balance while also discovering deeper concepts and experiences. This class is appropriate for all levels of t’ai chi, including beginners.

Line Dancing Level II with Kari McHugh
Thursdays, 12:00-1:00pm on Zoom
If you’re looking for a bigger physical and mental challenge, the advanced class may be the right fit for you! Previous participation in the beginner class or experience with line dancing is suggested to take this class.

Line Dancing Level I with Kari McHugh
Thursdays, 1:30-2:30pm on Zoom
Learn the beginner foot patterns and fundamental terminology to line dance! This low-impact form of dance is gentle on joints and beneficial for both body and mind.

The Art of Living Well with Lisa Campbell

This class is geared towards all levels; each participant can focus the intensity of their workout to their own fitness level. Join us for a fun, active and social fitness class. Suggested equipment: Light hand weights, dynabands, and a chair nearby.


You may prepay your account by sending a check to the Weston COA and we will deduct the class cost each time you participate, or we will send you an invoice at the end of the month for the classes you have taken.
